Inside the “Palace of Vers-Thai” Designers’ Challenge

We’re Featured in Chicago Style Weddings!

We’re thrilled to share that Ashland Addison Florist was featured in the latest issue of Chicago Style Weddings as part of their highly anticipated Designers’ Challenge! Each year, CSW invites four top Chicago wedding planners to create their dream wedding designs – bringing in a team of expert vendors to bring the vision to life in a styled shoot. The result? Four one-of-a-kind editorials that push the boundaries of wedding inspiration – and this year, we were honored to be part of something truly extraordinary!

Our team partnered with the undeniably brilliant H.B.I.C. Weddings for a maximalist masterpiece called The Palace of Vers-Thai.” Set at the modern and elegant theWit Chicago, this design was a luxurious blend of Marie Antoinette opulence and vibrant Thai inspiration – a riot of rich color, cross-cultural details, and fearless creativity.

We set out to create a design that demanded a second glance, inviting viewers to lean in and uncover the layers of detail and artistry woven throughout.

– Diane Brisk, H.B.I.C Weddings

This look was all about saying no to the status quo. In a wedding world that often favors soft neutrals and minimalism, our Designers’ Challenge team asked the question: Why not more? Why not extraordinary?

From a romantic rooftop sweetheart table to a neon-lit floral installation and a layered ballroom tablescape, every element of this shoot told a story. As the floral partner, we leaned into a palette of saturated jewel tones, unexpected pairings, and luxe textures – proof that bold blooms belong in even the most elevated spaces!

The Team:

We couldn’t be more proud of the work our fellow creatives poured into this shoot. A huge thank you to our incredible collaborators:
