Snow Drift – A Holiday Tablescape

The Holiday Season brings the feeling of love and generosity as families gathers to celebrate Christmas and ring in the New Year. Again our event team wanted to provide an inspirational tablescape for this holiday season. We wanted to take the feeling of a warm fire burning and the snow falling outside and transform it into a beautiful natural winter tablescape that we call “Snow Drift.”

The first step in creating a powerful tablescape is having a main focal element- this helps provide balance to the overall feel of the table. For our table, the focal element are the driftwood logs with Spanish moss, brunia berries and a collection of echevarrias.

First we placed a rich green collection of evergreen branches as our natural runner. The deep green is a great contrast to the whites of the driftwood and the place settings. Once the driftwood was placed down in the desired location we added a collection of pillar vases, with and without stems, on both sides of the table with a variety of delicate white flowers including tullups, amaryllis, football mums and stock flowers. From there we wanted to add some depth to the table with a few pillar vases holding a collection of cinnamon sticks and pinecones. To finish off the table, we added a pop of red with winter berries and a variety of candles.

No matter what inspires your tablescape, find your focal point and then play off that until you have a beautiful combination that will have your guests wowed.
