The past few years it has been an honor for the Ashland Addison Floral and Event Decor team to transform the cafeteria of Saint Mary’s Hospital into a festive holiday celebration. This year’s theme was “Holiday in Napa,” a night to escape from the cold and be transported to a vineyard with a holiday twist.
To make this concept come to life we used rich brown tablecloths and aged farm wood tables with dark-washed Tuscan chairs, for the proper seating for all the party-goers. The tables featured burlap runners and birch boxes with burgundy cymbidium orchids, cherry love roses, agonis, hypericum berries and pine cones. A collection of lanterns floated above every table to provide warm lighting.
Around the food and wine stations, columns were wrapped in grapevines, smilax vines, winter berries and gold poinsettias. The stations displayed wine crates, apothecary jars and wine glasses such as port, eno golblet, red wine and porcelain sake cups to match the wine pairings. Pillar candles were arranged around the room for a soft ambient glow. A decorative wood door donned with holiday wreath, a beautiful white-washed dessert buffet cabinet and trees with white lights finished off the feeling of being in Napa.
